Brown Paper Lion-Norton is a waterproof abrasive sheet designed for wet or dry sanding and surface-finishing work. Its water-resistant backing and abrasive grain provide controlled cutting and a consistent finish on paint, wood, putty and compatible automotive surfaces.
Wood Surface Sanding
Wood Surface Finishing
Prepare the Surface - Make sure the wood or wall-putty surface is completely dry and free from loose dust.
Select the Grit - Choose a suitable grit from the available 80–320 range. Start coarser for levelling and move to a finer grit for finishing.
Cut or Fold the Sheet - Cut or fold the abrasive paper into a comfortable size for hand sanding or use it with a sanding block.
Sand Evenly - Sand with light to moderate, even pressure. For wood, follow the grain where possible; for wall putty, use even overlapping strokes.
Remove Dust - Wipe or brush away sanding dust periodically so you can clearly check the surface.
Finish with a Finer Grit - Use a finer grit if a smoother finish is needed before painting, polishing, or applying primer.
